Starting a shift

To start a shift, press F: a message will appear on-screen to let you know the mod has successfully started.

Selecting a station

Version 0.7 has 3 stations, with different companies, and different environments of response: To select a station, you have 3 options:

• Go to one of the Fire stations / hospitals indicated on your map, then walk into the red chevron;
• Press C to launch the Fire station selector menu, or M to launch the hospital selector menu (from anywhere on the map).
• Using – (SUBTRACT) will select a station using the safe mode (press it, until the station of your choice (works only for the Fire Stations, not for the hospitals)

The North Station

This station has 3 companies:

• Battalion chief company;
• Engine company; 
• Rescue company.

Its environment of response comprise both commercial and residential environments, has the largest variety of callouts and is responsible from box 0100 to 0106 including box 0115.

 

The Midtown Station:

This station only hosts the Engine Company; its environment of response is mainly commercial, and responds mainly for Medical runs and fires, and is responsible from box 0107 to 0116, which hold various famous landmarks, such as Star Junction, Middle Park, etc.

The south station:

This station has 3 companies:

• Battalion chief company;
• Engine company;  
• Ladder company.

Its environment of response is mainly commercial and open air, and responds mainly for Medical Runs, and fire, and is responsible from box 0117 to 0125.

Selecting the company

After selecting a fire station, you will have to choose the company you will be playing with. 

Each company has its own equipment/missions: the company you will choose will determine the type of calls you will receive, but some companies are only based on one station but responding citywide. You can also choose the company, using the safe mode (using + (ADD) press it, until the company of your choice (works only for the Fire Stations, not for the hospitals).

Engine Company: 

Each station has at least one engine company.  

The engine company has the largest variety of callouts: from Fire to medical run, it’s also the busiest unit over the city.

Choosing the Engine Company is for a player who wants to be on every type of call.

Ladder Company:

The ladder company is stationed at the south station.
Responding citywide, the ladder is assigned to every fire/M.V.A callouts.
This company is for players who do not like the medical aspect of the job.

Rescue Company:

Stationed at the north station, this company is responding citywide.
Victim pinned inside a vehicle, or in needs of an evacuation from a roof, this Company is called for extreme rescue cases. This company also responds to commercial fires.
Choosing the rescue Company is for a player who likes extreme rescue/fighting fire.

Paramedic:

Paramedics are hospital based, and respond only to medical related callouts. Unlike the other company, paramedics have to transport the victim to the hospital.
